We believe that anyone and everyone irrespective of age, race, ethnicity, cultural background, gender, sexuality etc, should have equal and fair access to the products of our club.
The Equity/Wellbeing Officer works closely with our Executive members to ensure that events and communications live up to our high standards of ourselves.
Our core value of Engage is central to this and we will also ensure that no matter who you are, where you come from, or how you got here, we will provide equal access to engage with our club in a way that is fair for everyone.
General Wellbeing and Support
The wellbeing of our members is important to us. We want to create safe spaces that can have robust and structed debates, while also respecting everyone’s thoughts, opinions and beliefs.
The Equity/Wellbeing Officer ensures that the wellbeing of our members is prioritised during all of our events and works closely with the Co-Presidents to ensure that volunteering for the club is a safe and enjoyable experience.
Our core value of Encourage is central to this as we encourage all members, Executive or general, to come to us if there are any wellbeing concerns. Our Equity/Wellbeing Officer will work with you to ensure you are supported and cared for. Your health
comes first!
Having Your Voice Heard
Central to our democracy is the ability for all of us, no matter who we are, where we have come from, or how we got here, have a voice and the ability to use that voice.
The Equity/Wellbeing Officer plays a critical role in this by sharing the thoughts and opinions of our members in a non-biased and pure way ensuring that your voice is heard.
Our core value of Inform is central to this as we want to make sure that when you have a concern that these are brought to the attention of the Executive team swiftly and respectfully. Informing us on what we could do better, what we are doing well and what you want to see next ensures we all grow. We always want to hear your voice!
